Innovative youth work, born in Luton, delivered everywhere...
We’ve chosen Bute Mills in Luton as a venue for our eDay in September, its home to a national charity that helps young people face challenge, in a changing world.
Over one hundred years ago Bute Mills was a working flour mill that helped to feed families across Bedfordshire.
Now, following a £3.2 million transformation, it’s an award winning creative space for the Youthscape charity, with the latest state of the art technology.
Youthscape, founded in 1993 continues to work with young people in Luton, with a nationwide shared practice through training and providing resources for learners.
You'll also be pleased to hear that all funds from the hire of facilities, for the eDay, go to support the work of the charity with disadvantaged young people.
Breaking the Mould
Challenging our comfort zone, Bute Mills takes us out of our ‘every-day’ to focus on a parallel that brings us together with the ‘Modern Learner’.
We'll reflect on today’s learner at the eDay, how they expect workplace learning to be available whenever and wherever they require it.
And that's why we've created our Knowledge Bank concept, to deliver informal learning in small, focussed, 'bite-sized' chunks, accessible anytime, delivered anywhere...
Talking of 'Bite Sized' chunks, we are serving up some great Asian food from the winner of the 2017 street food awards.
