Driving Dealer Readiness: Launching the All New Isuzu

D-Max & D-Max EV .

For Isuzu UK, 2025 marked a significant period of transition and innovation. Alongside the launch of the new D-Max Diesel, featuring a revised 2.2-litre powertrain and enhanced driver assistance technologies, the business was also preparing its network for the introduction of the all-new D-Max EV, a landmark moment for the Isuzu brand.

To support both launches, Isuzu partnered with Autonomy to create a suite of engaging digital learning experiences designed to equip dealer teams with the knowledge and confidence needed to communicate the latest product developments effectively.

The Result.

The program has transformed parts training at Scania UK, creating a consistent and engaging learning experience across the entire dealer network. Participation rates demonstrate strong adoption, with learners voluntarily progressing through multiple levels.

Beyond performance gains, the initiative has driven a cultural shift, training is no longer viewed as a tick-box exercise but as an essential tool for professional development.

The Brief.

The introduction of the all-new D-Max EV represented a milestone for Isuzu. As the brand's first fully electric pick-up, it brought with it an entirely new set of technologies, terminology and customer questions.

Dealer teams needed to understand topics including charging, battery technology, regenerative braking, electric powertrains and ownership benefits, while also being able to confidently position the D-Max EV as a true commercial vehicle capable of retaining the legendary capability expected from the D-Max nameplate.

The objective was to provide a consistent digital learning solution that could deliver complex technical information in an engaging and accessible way, ensuring dealer teams were equipped with the knowledge required to support both product launches.

At the same time, Isuzu was preparing to launch the latest D-Max Diesel. Building on the success of an already highly regarded pick-up, the new model introduced a series of enhancements designed to improve performance, drivability, safety and comfort. With a new 2.2-litre diesel engine, updated transmission, advanced driver assistance features, a 360-degree camera system and a host of design refinements, dealer teams needed a clear understanding of both the technical improvements and the customer benefits they delivered.

Working in partnership with Isuzu's product, technical and training teams, Autonomy developed three interactive eLearning modules covering both vehicle programmes.

The Solution.

For the D-Max EV, we created a two-part learning experience designed to introduce learners to the vehicle's role within the Isuzu product range, explain the business drivers behind electrification and build confidence around key EV technologies.

Through a combination of interactive learning, visual storytelling, video and knowledge checks, learners explored battery systems, electric motors, charging solutions, regenerative braking, power management systems and the vehicle's class-leading commercial credentials.

By breaking down complex technical information into clear, learner-focused content, we created a consistent digital learning experience that could be accessed across the dealer network ahead of launch.

Alongside the EV programme, we developed a dedicated learning module for the latest D-Max Diesel. This focused on helping the dealer network understand the most significant model year updates, including the new 2.2-litre powertrain, revised transmissions, safety enhancements, driver monitoring technology and 360-degree camera functionality.

To enhance realism and learner engagement, our in-house production team also captured bespoke video content, showcasing key vehicle features and technologies. This video content was integrated directly into the learning experience, helping bring the product story to life and providing learners with a closer look at the updates in action.

The Result.

The completed programme provided Isuzu with a digital learning solution that supported launch readiness across both vehicle programmes.

Dealer teams gained access to consistent product information, helping them understand the latest technologies and confidently communicate key customer benefits.

By combining technical accuracy with engaging learning design, the programme helped Isuzu prepare its network for one of the most significant periods of product evolution in the D-Max range.
